Peugeot in South West Water fleet deal
Car dealer Peugeot is to supply South West Water (SWW) with a 300 strong fleet of vans over the next three years, it has been announced.
Peugetot's 206 vans will be used on the job by SWW inspectors to visit sites, while the larger vehicles "Partners", "Experts" and "Boxers" will be driven by works maintenance employees.
SWW said that the cost efficiency of Peugeot's diesel vehicles had been one of the main attractions of the deal, which they hope will help the company to meet its transport environmental targets by reducing vehicle emissions.
SWW transport and logistics manager, Richard Watkins, said: "We have been working with Peugeot for the past three years and are very happy to be continuing this relationship into the future.
"Peugeots excellent and comprehensive LCV range meets our diverse needs and helps us carry out the complex tasks involved in running a modern water and sewerage company."
SWW will no doubt also be hoping that the new vehicles, which have the added bonuses of practicality and adequate load carrying ability, will aid employees' comfort and safety on the job, lowering fleet insurance premiums for the company.
