Friday fleet insurance headache
People responsible for fleet insurance should be wary of sending their drivers out on Friday afternoons.
Research by the RAC has revealed that late Friday on afternoons and early evenings are the most likely times for accidents to occur.
Frustrated motorists desperate to get home for the weekend regularly prang into each other, especially on the country's main commuter routes.
Edmund King, executive director of the RAC Foundation said: "Although motorways are our safest roads, when accidents happen they can have dire consequences in terms of death and delays.
"Motorists seem to have a love- hate relationship with motorways. They love them for getting around quickly, going on holiday or visiting family but hate getting caught up in congestion."
