Rossi underlines commitment to motorbike racing
Sat, 17 Sep 2005
Motorbike legend Valentino Rossi has emphasised his commitment to motorbikes, pouring cold water on rumours that he is about to start tests for switch to Formula One cars.
Responding to recent comments allegedly made in an interview with Ross Braun, in which he is supposed to have said that he is about to take part in a series of tests with Ferrari, the Italian racer said he knew nothing about it.
"When I hear this interview with Ross Braun, for me it's funny because I don't know anything about it," Mr Rossi told reporters in Japan ahead of this weekend's MotoGP event.
"I haven't decided whether to go to cars. Maybe yes, but maybe no. Speaking already about tests for me is like speaking about 10 years in the future."
Having won eleven races in the MotoGP event, the racing champ emphasised his commitment to motorbikes. "In all my life I am a motorcycle rider for 100 per cent," he said.
All bikers, whether professionals or amateurs, should ensure they are protected in the saddle with comprehensive bike insurance cover.
