Harry boosts bikes
The image of motorcycling in the UK has received an unexpected boost – from Prince Harry.
In a newspaper interview to mark his 21st birthday, the third in line to the throne revealed that he loves to “bomb around” the fields on his motorbike to “blow away the cobwebs”.
In one of the photographic portraits released to the media to mark his birthday, Prince Harry is pictured astride a motorbike.
The photograph – which has been an instant hit with the media – was taken by Mario Testino, a favourite photographer of Princess Diana.
But action shots of the prince showing off his riding skills were out of the question because of the lack of a helmet and bike insurance problems.
Prince Harry said: "I didn't ride it today for legal reasons”, but added that the photograph had been designed to capture something of the real him.
