Motorists 'must carefully consider van insurance'

Drivers are being reminded to ensure they are getting the best possible deal on their van insurance.

Most Brits are already aware of the importance of checking the details of their van insurance, states Steve Foulsham, technical services manager at the British Insurance Brokers' Association.

However, he urges them to take professional advice on the type of van insurance cover they require, as this will vary depending on the vehicle, how often they drive it and what it is used for.

"Clarity is the key and consumers really need to have the right advice and need to make sure they are getting a policy that fits their own requirements," Mr Foulsham added.
