Iveco supports scrappage scheme

2nd June 2009

People looking for cheap car insurance have learned that a major van maker has signed up to the government's scrappage scheme.

Iveco has announced that it will participate in the initiative, under which motorists can trade in a car or van over ten years old and benefit from a £2,000 discount against the purchase of a new vehicle.

The scheme is valid for all new Daily vans or chassis cabs at 3.5 tonnes, including factory-built orders.

Andrea Bucci, marketing director at Iveco, said customers will be able to take advantage of the initiative until February 2010.

"We're expecting this offer to prove particularly popular with small local retailers and tradesmen, who often drive older vans but who now have a great opportunity to benefit from significant advantages," she added.

Construction firm Carillion recently took delivery of 16 new Iveco Trakkers and nine Eurocargos from Guest Trucks, which will join a fleet of nearly 10,000 commercial vehicles.ADNFCR-1602-ID-19198157-ADNFCR
