Highland banking service uses Vauxhall vans

30th March 2009

The Bank of Scotland (BoS) is using two adapted Vauxhall Movano vans to provide mobile banking facilities in remote communities in Scotland.

Representing an investment of £200,000 from the BoS, the vans replace two models that had been in the fleet for almost 20 years.

One of the vans will serve communities throughout the Shetland Isles, while the other will service bank customers in inaccessible locations in the Highlands.

Susan Rice, managing director of Lloyds Banking Group Scotland, said: "These mobile branches provide an invaluable service to our customers in remote and rural areas across Scotland. This investment acknowledges the importance of these communities to us.

"We're delighted to support our customers in Shetland and Perthshire."

Motorists driving Vauxhall vans can maximise their chances of getting a cheap van insurance quote should shop around to get the best deal.

The Movano is the heaviest vehicle in Vauxhall commercial vehicle range, offering panel van payloads of up to 1900kg.
