Firm displays green van technology

20th April 2009

Revolve Technologies last week welcomed its local MP Eric Pickles for a tour around its facility last week.

The politician, who is MP for Brentwood and Ongar and chairman of the Conservative Party, viewed design, development and engineering work at the firm's Brentwood plant.

Mr Pickles was given a talk on Revolve's work across a range of green and environmentally-friendly vehicle technologies, including its hydrogen/gasoline bi-fuel conversion on a Ford Transit van.

In news which may interest cheap van insurance customers, Mr Pickles also got a glimpse of Revolve's work on military and motorsport projects.

Mr Pickles said he was "pleased" to have been given the chance to view the company's work.

"I am proud of the innovative work carried out by firms in Brentwood, often with little fanfare or publicity, but which could make great differences to the way we live our lives in the future," he added.

The firm was established as Roush Technologies in 1995 and was acquired by an investors group in 2007.
