Carillion reduces fuel costs with Peugeot vans

10th June 2009

People looking for cheap van insurance have been told that a major building contractor is cutting its fuel bills by using Peugeot vans.

Carillion's operations in Scotland have saved £500 per week after the firm added 200 diesel-engine light commercial vehicles to its fleet.

The vans range from the Bipper, Partner and Expert to full-size Boxers, which have been supplied on a four-year contract hire.

Mark Smith of Carillion Property Services said no other manufacturer could match the variety of sizes and impressive services that Peugeot delivers.

"Not only have these new Peugeot vans delivered impressive performance improvements, they have also proved a big hit with our drivers too, thanks to the comfortable cabin environment and the high levels of equipment," he added.

Northumbria Police recently announced that the force had taken delivery of 12 four-tonne Boxer vans to transport officers to emergency situations, parades, demonstrations and football matches.ADNFCR-1602-ID-19211504-ADNFCR
