Stunt rider wows crowds at Elvington

Motorcycle insurance customers saw one of Suzuki's top stunt riders take the opening win of the gripping 2009 UK Motorcycle Freestyle Championship at the weekend.

Mattie Griffin, who is currently ranked world number five in the sport, rode his Suzuki GSX-R600 based machine to victory at the Elvington Airfield.

He pushed himself and his bike to the limits in his bid to secure the round victory and lead in the series standings.

Speaking after the event, Griffin said he was delighted with his strong start to the series.

"With the following rounds being held over the summer at the Santa Pod dragstrip in Northamptonshire and again at Elvington, I look forward to continuing my form, while entertaining crowds across the UK this summer," he added.

It is further good news for Suzuki fans after Relentless rider Scott Columb finished in third place at the ACU MMX British Open Championship in Somerset the previous weekend. ADNFCR-1602-ID-19195235-ADNFCR
