Kane impresses at Catalunya GP
19th May 2009
Motorcycle insurance customers saw one of the biggest names in the Women's World Championship fly the flag for Suzuki at the weekend.
Natalie Kane moved higher up the championship standings after riding to an impressive sixth place overall at the Catalunya Grand Prix.
After finishing sixth in timed practice, the RM-Z250 rider took seventh place on the first race of the day, while a strong start in race two saw her ride to fifth place behind Germany's Maria Franke.
Speaking after the race, Kane said she was pleased with the results but was not planning to rest on her laurels just yet.
"Naturally I'm pretty pleased with my performance, but you always want more. The competition was strong, but we held our own and the bike performed faultlessly," she added.
The result is something else for Suzuki fans to celebrate after MVR-D rider James Noble finished in third place overall at the British Masters championship at Pontrilas this month.
