Honda picked for London ambulance service
24th March 2009
Honda's ST1300 Pan European has been selected as the motorcycle of choice for London Ambulance Service's paramedic fleet.
In an expansion to the service's motorcycle fleet, twelve European motors have been bought to bolster the service.
The new additions will cover all of London, but especially the east side of the city.
Riders looking for a cheap motorcycle insurance quote should search the market.
Shaun Rock of the London Ambulance Service said that the acquisitions were essential to comply with government response time regulations.
"We looked at response times in congested areas of London twenty years ago and saw that motorcycles were the solution to getting a vehicle and paramedic on-scene as soon as possible," he commented.
The London Ambulance Service is the largest of its type in the world, with more than 4[,]000 staff.
Honda's Pan European is from its touring range and boasts a 1,260cm3 engine with increased bore and stroke, according to the company.
