'Fascinating' and 'inspiring' bike books
23rd February 2009
Motorcycle enthusiasts will be able to indulge their passion for two-wheeled vehicles with the launch of three new bike books.
Described by Cycle World magazine as "pornography for gearheads", The Fine Art of the Motorcycle Engine The Story of the Up-N-Smoke Engine Project features 64 pictures by professional photographer Daniel Peirce.
Publishers Veloce state that readers will be able to enjoy the "story behind the project and how it took years to bring it from an inspired idea to a tangible reality".
Another new title from Veloce is the Motorcycle Apprentice: Matchless in name & reputation by Bill Cakebread.
The book tells the story of what it was like to work in the Associated Motor Cycles factory and Veloce describes it as "an inspiring story" that provides a "fascinating record of life within the British motorcycle industry".
Lastly is Off-road Giants, a book which looks to give an insight into the heroes of 1960s motorcycle sport. Veloce state it is "a fascinating and nostalgic compilation of rider profiles".
Motorcyclists looking to save money on the cost of their bikes can research the best bike insurance deals on the internet.
Associated Motor Cycles (AMC) was a British motorcycle manufacturer founded by the Collier brothers.
