Dads drive children round the bend

Dads spend six months of their lives ferrying their children to and fro in their cars, according to new research.
A study by Motors.co.uk revealed downtrodden dads will clock up around 56,000 miles in their cars in order to get their kids to and from where they want to be, although hopefully not making too many car insurance claims along the way.
The poll found that on average fathers spend around three hours a week taking their children places the equivalent of around 60 miles a week.
Around 90 per cent of fathers polled said they spent at least five hours a week driving their children, while 8.3 per cent travel more than 80 miles a week.
By the time their child gets to their 18th birthday, the average dad will have travelled the distance from London to Paris 266 times taking their children to parties, sports or school.
Katie Armitage, marketing manager for Motors.co.uk, said: "The results of this survey show that the UK's driving dads are spending more time than ever driving their children around with the average father spending six months of their lives on the school run."
