Time to TH!NK about electric cars

21st July 2008

The world's only crash-tested and highway certificated electric car has been unveiled at the British Motor show.

The new TH!NK city electric vehicle will be available for UK customer orders from next summer and will have a top speed of 65 miles per hour, while also being emission free and 95 per cent recyclable.

The two-seater urban car, designed by the Norwegian electric vehicle pioneers Think, requires an overnight top-up of electricity and can travel for 126 miles in city driving on a fully charged battery - which will sure car insurance customers thousands on fuel.

Richard Blundell, managing director of Think UK, said: "Unlike the lower-range, electric quadric-cycles that have had limited success in the UK, the TH!NK city is a real car which provides a realistic option for those motorists who want to drive a true zero emissions car."

NICE, also unveiled its electric city car MyCar, which in comparison to the TH1NK city car only has a range of 40 miles and a top speed of 40 miles per hour.ADNFCR-1602-ID-18693950-ADNFCR
