New Insignias to be shown at the British International Motor Show

7th July 2008

Car manufacturer Vauxhall has revealed that it will be unveiling two new versions of its popular Insignia at the upcoming British International Motor Show.

At the event, which is due to take place between July 23rd and August 3rd, Vauxhall will be showcasing a four-door saloon and five-door hatchback version of the Insignia.

Both boast "a flowing, muscular, yet elegant silhouette" and car insurance customers will be able to pick from five engines. All of these meet strict Euro Five emissions standards and come coupled with six-speed transmissions.

A statement from the company added: "Insignia's fuel consumption, CO2 emissions and driving dynamics benefit from the aerodynamic efficiency that was perfected during more than 650 hours in the wind tunnel.

"The newly developed chassis can be enhanced with the innovative FlexRide system, as well as the sophisticated Adaptive 4x4. Its lightning-fast distribution of torque over the four wheels ensures peerless stability and traction while benefiting dynamic performance."

Recently, Vauxhall revealed that the new Insignia models would feature a dual-function camera that both "reads speed limit and no-overtaking signs and displays them on the instrument panel" and "alerts drivers when they unintentionally veer out of their lane".ADNFCR-1602-ID-18671909-ADNFCR
