Motorists dream of spy's life

With the latest James Bond film currently in cinemas, it appears that the legendary secret agent is as popular as ever with British motorists. At least his car is anyway.

That is according to a recent poll by used car portal Motors.co.uk, which revealed that the Aston Martin DB9 Vanquish is the nation's top dream car.

Renowned for its exquisite luxury 007's Aston Martin topped a poll of motorists' favourite status symbols, with more than a third of the vote. BMW and Jaguar were also popular brands.

Katie Armitage, Marketing Manager for motors.co.uk, said: “It was unsurprising that so many of the respondents surveyed would choose to drive such a luxurious motor and see cars as a top status symbol."

British drivers may have a taste for Bond's legendary sense of style, but unless they also share his penchant for blowing things up then motorists who manage to buy their dream vehicle are strongly advised to take out a car insurance policy.
