Car key to love life

A well maintained car could lead to an active love-life, according to new research.

Kwik-Fit, Europe's largest independent repair specialist, discovered that 14 million Brits believe that the appearance of a prospective partner's car accurately reflects its owner.

A further three quarters of a million women admitted to dating a man just because they liked his car; while shamefully 300,000 claim to have stayed in a relationship just because they liked their partner's car.

David White, customer services director at Kwik-Fit, said: "Whilst many people strive for a honed appearance to attract the opposite sex, it seems this can often count for little if their car is unreliable and has filthy paintwork, an oil leak and bald tyres."

Earlier this month, it was revealed by the Automotive Technician Accreditation that 52 per cent of British car insurance customers admitted that they did not know when there next service was due. ADNFCR-1602-ID-18714742-ADNFCR
