Dirtbike show (Stoneleigh Park, 4-7th November) where they will
meet the judges before the winner is announced.
The theme of 'Motocross' encompasses every element of the sport,
photography submitted could include a picture of a static bike, a
shot of a professional rider in action or even a creative photo of
a pair of gloves!
Budding photographers should log onto Facebook and become a fan
of Express Insurance UK at www.facebook.com/ExpressInsuranceUK
before uploading their photographs to the fan page. The closing
date for entries into the competition is Sunday 10th October
2010.
At the highest level, the best motocross riders compete in front
of thousands for the top titles, but the off-road sport is far more
accessible than most people realise and there are plenty of
opportunities for new and seasoned photographers to get involved in
the sport.
Archer is an award-winning photographer and a veteran of the
World Motocross Championships, he has been working for racing
teams, manufacturers and media for more than 30 years, travelling
the world to work at international Motocross and Supercross
events.
Ray Archer said: "The 'accessibility' of motocross is one of the
sport's major advantages, and one why I chose to start
photographing it more than twenty years ago. It is demanding and
gruelling sport but there are so many aspects to it, I see new
image opportunities every time I go to the race track to work.
"In no other form of motor sport can the public get so close to
the action, riders are literally jumping five, ten and fifteen
meters high and almost within touching distance of race fans!"
Express Insurance is proud to be the official insurance partner
to the Maxxis ACU British Motocross Championship. Widely considered
to be the premiere UK Motocross Championship, the title is
contested over eight rounds the length and breadth of the UK
bringing fans all the action and excitement that only motocross can
deliver.
The next round takes place on 25th July at Foxhill, Swindon
followed by another three events at Farleigh Castle (15th August),
Silverstone (29th August) and Hawkstone Park (3rd October)
