Ross Connolly takes 1st GSX-R Trophy Pole of Season

 

At a bright and sunny Donington Park it was Ross Connolly who rode away to snap up the 1st pole position of this year's R&G Racing Suzuki GSX-R600 Trophy. Ross took the fastest time in qualifying ahead of the rest of the field in the first round qualifying session.

As part of the support program of races at the 2009 Motosix event, Connolly set a time of 1min 43.01secs, just one tenth of a second clear of second placed Mark Cheetham. Last year's runner up, Chris Hawkes will line up on the front of the grid after finishing 3rd with Tom Gazzard completing the front row after qualifying in fourth place.
