German models 'the most popular used cars'

Drivers buying used vehicles may be more likely to take out cheap car insurance on a BMW 3 Series than any other model.
A recent survey by used car retailer Autoquake.com suggested that the German vehicle is the most desirable used car.
The 3 Series is the most frequently viewed vehicle on the company's website, followed closely by the Audi A4 and another BMW, the 5 Series.
Although German cars dominate the top three spots in the rankings, it is Ford that takes up the next two spots, with the Focus and Mondeo models.
Commenting on the findings, Autoquake.com chief executive Dermot Halpin explained that the appearance of German models at the top of the list is to be expected.
He added: "High numbers of buyers are looking for used cars with premium badges and many of the cars in our top ten fit that bill.
"However other car makers still offer consumers great value for money."
Drivers also believe the quality of particular extras is important when purchasing a car, according to recent research by exchangeandmart.co.uk.
A survey by the website published earlier this week indicated that eight in ten motorists believe air conditioning is the most valuable built-in add-on.
