7 September 2010

Car insurance customers would be interested to know that in a series of strange events, five Ferrari cars have randomly caught fire.
The incidents took place in China, Paris, Switzerland, California and one other unnamed location, although no motorists were hurt.
An inflammable adhesive used in the wheel-arches of Ferrari's 458 Italia cars has been identified as the cause of the fires.
The iconic car brand has recalled more than 1,240 units of its cars and will be replacing the glue with mechanical clasps to ensure no further risks.
Motorists who had their cars burst into flames will be given a new model to replace their older cars.
Several car manufacturers such as Toyota, Honda and General Motors among others have had to recall their vehicles owing to manufacturing faults.
