Brokers strive to help car insurance customers
27 July 2010

Car insurance customers are bearing the brunt of rising rates of insurance premiums as lenders move to protect themselves against a rising number of fraudulent claims.
In light of the present situation, the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA) has pledged its efforts to help out customers.
Graeme Trudgill, technical and corporate affairs executive for BIBA, said: "We don't want innocent people to foot the bill and do all we can to help with that matter."
However, he pointed out that people seeking to secure protection for their vehicles cannot be safeguarded from the increase in rates as insurance premiums are calculated according to risks and therefore liable to change as per market fluctuations.
His comments follow soon after the AA Insurance revealed that premiums jumped by more than 11 per cent in the last three months.
