Fallen trees block Scottish roads
29 December 2011

Roads in Scotland have been blocked by fallen trees, which could result in some motorbike insurance customers needing to plan alternative routes.
The Grampian region of the country has been lashed by high winds which knocked some trees across roads, STV reported.
The A981 Maud to New Deer was closed as council workers strived to remove the trees overnight.
A fallen tree also completely blocked the B9118 Riverside Road near Rothiemay, leaving the road closed for around three hours as attempts were made to move it.
The Met Office gave an amber warning about the high winds and ferry service Caledonian MacBrayne was forced to cancel 20 services to and from the Western Isles due to the stormy weather.
Motorcyclists in London will soon be able to take advantage of using the city's bus lanes in a bid to reduce the amount of congestion on the roads.
