Artist designs custom Honda Fury motorbike
29 June 2012

A Northern Irish artist has combined his love of golf and motorcycles by creating a piece of art utilising a Honda Fury motorbike, which he intends to auction off for four separate charities.
Iain Baldwin, who runs Ballycarry-based custom paint and airbrush company Liquid Colour Design, has painstakingly airbrushed portraits of Northern Irish golfers Darren Clarke, Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell on to the bike.
The motorcycle will now be transported to the north coast for the Irish Open, which is being held at Royal Portrush Golf Course for the first time where it will receive the signatures of the golfing stars.
"It has taken a lot of time and effort on my part to ensure that these golfers will actually put their names on the bike, which will be incredible," said Mr Baldwin.
Honda Belfast supplied him with the bike for free to support the project, which will result in donations to Clic Sargent, UNICEF, GMAC Foundation and Marie Curie Cancer Care.
While it is unknown how much the bike will fetch in auction, a custom bike designed by Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney recently sold for £109,700.
